Examining Board of Natural Medicine Practitioners (E.B.N.M.P.)

Brief Description

EBNMP is the registering body for all modalities that fall under the title of "Natural Medicine" - working at unifying all practitioners and to standardize the practice of Natural medicine in North America.

EBNMP does not represent any one particular Natural Health Profession; it is comprised of a multidisciplinary group whose members are Naturopaths, Homeopaths, Acupuncturists, Osteopaths, Dentists, Holistic Medical Doctors, Chiropractors, Nutritional Medicine Practitioners, Eastern Medicine Doctors and Lifestyle Management Practitioners.

EBNMP's qualified registrants must meet a specific standard of education to assure the public that they have met the educational, ethical and upgrading standards of a registering body to which they are accountable.

New Earth College

Brief Description

The New Earth College is located in Ontario and has been a leader in the field of Natural Medicine since 1996. The College offers Federally approved, professional training programs in Natural Medicine Sciences.

Touchpoint Canadian Institute of Reflexology and Kinesthetics

Association of Doctors of Natural Medicine - Alberta (ADNMA)

Brief Description

ADNMA initially started as an association for Doctors of Natural Medicine (DNMs) but has since opened its doors (following EBNMP mandates) to all Natural Medicine and Wholistic Practitioners, students of Natural medicine, and organizations that support Natural Medicine.

ADNMA is a voice for Natural Medicine in Alberta, and works at fostering further education, networking, and support of all in the field of Natural Medicine.

ADNMA is affiliated with EBNMP, and all of our DNM members are registered (as DNMs) with EBNMP.

Massage Therapist Association of Alberta (MTAA)

Brief Description

Established in 1953, the Massage Therapist Association of Alberta (MTAA) is one of the oldest massage therapist associations in the country. MTAA is a recognized leader in the profession, focused mainly on the massage therapy industry in Alberta. MTAA is committed to its members, demanding higher standards of massage therapy practice.

The MTAA mission is to promote the practice of massage therapy through member services, education, professional standards and advocacy.

The Association of Massage Therapists and Wholistic Practitioners (AMTWP)

Brief Description

Formed in 1988, the Association of Massage Therapists and Wholistic Practitioners (AMTWP) is a national association representing professional massage therapists and wholistic practitioners throughout Canada. The head office remains in Edmonton, Alberta where the association was founded.

The AMTWP is dedicated to serving the needs and maintaining the professional standards of practitioners practicing in massage therapy and wholistic practice. One of the principle goals of the association is to provide to its members vital and timely information on a wide variety of issues so that they may grow professionally and ultimately, which improves services to their clients.

The mission of the Association of Massage Therapists and Wholistic Practitioners is to promote healing and wellness, and encourage the successful development of its professions.
